It isn't very sunny, but not exactly cloudy either. The trees across the street bend and bristle, easing to the wind, but it's quiet behind the glass, still really, patchworked blue. Particles hang in the highlights in the air, rays caught in the window and cast down to the carpet. You criss cross your knees on the floor, moving down from the couch for some reason, just to be nearer them on this timeless afternoon. A long day of rest after running around in the sands of time, all kicked up and just settling now as you take a breath. The world will only ever truly be what it is for a moment. There are some sunsets just you can see now. Birds alone chime through the window, beautiful and personal but lacking, and the roar of distant cars like the washing waves over long tides. And you just breathe, really feeling what this is for a second even if you didn't know what it means then.
