The waterproof mylar construction has a high tensile strength to ward off high wind and rain while maintaining an element of warmth. Compact when not in use so it fits in your backpack or glove box. After use fold it up and put it back in the zip lock bag. Makes for a good warming blanket and can be cut into 2 or 3 smaller blankets if that type of situation should arise. Works well as a dividing curtain. Can also be used indoors during a winter storm if power and heat is knocked out and many other uses.
